Shawn has been writing and performing contemporary Christian
music, and
sharing his faith through key-note talks, for over
ten years. He has
led music for the national youth gatherings of both the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church and
the ELCA, and has performed over 600 concerts at congregations,
state-wide gatherings, camps, colleges and schools.
Increasingly, Shawn has been invited to give his
humorous and heartfelt personal testimonies as the
keynote speaker at youth gatherings and
church-wide conferences.
Shawn also conducts 1-3 day Music
Leadership Seminars to help churches, camps and youth organizations improve their use of
contemporary music in ministry.

Shawn has developed and leads a 1-day local Servant
Event designed to bring young people in a community together through
music, large and small-group ministry, and community service. The
"10" Servant Event challenges and encourages young people to study
servant-hood as it relates to the Word, and put the Word into practice by
doing local service projects, and inspiring them to make servant-hood a
part of their everyday lives.
Though most of his work has been in the Lutheran Church, Shawn has also
led events at Methodist, Baptist, Church of God, Church of Brethren,
Roman Catholic, non-denominational and ecumenical events as well.
You can get a flavor of Shawn's confessional theology by reading some of
his lyrics.
