“Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for
me.”
-Psalm 66:16
WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT SHAWN:
“Shawn--Hi! I just wanted
to let you know that your faith and music has got me through the rough times in
my life. When I feel down, lonely, or unloved your music reminds me that I’ll
never walk alone and that there is always someone who cares. Thank you for
touching my life. God Bless! Love, Amy”
--Amy Brady, Connellsville,
PA
“We
were so blessed to have you bring your ministry to this past weekend. Our kids
and the “older” folks truly had a spirit-filled time of fellowship, praise, and
worship. In talking with many of the youth during SS on Sunday, and in some
emails that I have gotten, they truly enjoyed their time with you. Thank you,
thank you, thank you. I told one of them that the first time I met you, and was
able to experience your ministry, something happened. I was not sure what it
was, but I was different because of it. After this weekend I realized much of
what it was. In one word - REAL. You put your faith right out there, and “get
real.” There is not a facade or mask, you just put it out there. You get real
for God, through God, and in God. Thanks so much for what you do. God’s work
is truly being done through your ministry.”
--Kim Conway, Director of
Youth Ministry, Manassas, VA
“Shawn, I just attended your
concert at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Conover, NC. It’s really great to see
how you interact with the youth and it’s amazing how you get everyone, even the
adults, up and moving. Your music not only appeals to young people, but also to
the adults who bring the youth to the concerts. It wasn’t that long ago that I
was at camp singing theses same songs and feeling God’s love overflowing in my
life. Now that I’m older (your age) I feel that God’s love is sometimes hidden
in the everyday routines of this thing we call life. And it’s great to be
reminded that each of us has gifts and talents we can use to reach out to the
youth of today. Being a role model for young people isn’t the easiest thing to
do in today’s society. It takes very special people to show how the Lord can
use a person’s gifts and talents to share His love with others. You are
definitely one of the those chosen few. So from one of your peers, who is
trying to lead young people to Christ, I say thanks and keep up the good work.
In Christ, Wendy ”
--Wendy Hefner, Claremont,
NC
“Hey Shawn! We met at
Winterfest. I have listened to your OUT OF CONTROL tape that I purchased there
and was struck by the grace and Trinitarian emphasis of your music. Thank you
for your significant ministry to our young people. (I include myself in that
category occasionally.) The Peace of the Lord be with you. Miriam ”
--Rev. Miriam Nicholson, New
Bloomfield, PA
